Learn how to set up report segments to collect multiple dailies per day, divided by project zone, work shift, contributor, or other custom criteria.
Raken’s segmented reports keep your internal teams organized when working on large scale projects.
How to set up report segments
First you’ll need to create custom segments that your teams can select and use when they create a daily report.
To get started, log into our web app. Select Projects from the main navigation options and choose the project for which you’d like to set up daily report segments.
Then, follow these steps:
Select Settings from the left-hand project menu
Select Daily reporting from the dropdown options
Click on the Segments tab at the top of the page
Check the option to enable segments
Now you can add as many segments as you need to keep track of progress granularly. Create segments for different crews, zones, and more. Make sure to name each segment clearly.
When you're finished, click the orange Save button in the top right.
Completing segmented reports
Once segments are enabled, your teams will be able to select a segment when completing the following day's report.
When adding a new Daily Log or Materials Log, there will now be a dropdown at the top of your screen you can tap to choose the correct segment of the project. Once you've selected a segment, your account will default to showing you that segment whenever you open up a daily report for that project.
Enter your work logs, time, notes, attachments and other data and sign off as usual. The finished daily report will be automatically divided into your custom segments.
