As a versatile all-in-one tool for the field, we’re always looking for ways to improve and expand our capabilities. We did a lot of that during the third quarter of the year, with multiple enhancements to our existing features that will empower you to work smarter.
Take a look at what’s new:
Time tracking enhancements
Now, there are even more ways to streamline time tracking for better, more accurate payroll.
Geofencing

With the new geofencing capabilities available through our time clock, you’re able to more closely monitor employee activity while preventing errors or time theft.
You can prevent employees from interacting with the time clock while outside of the project radius, flag employees while on the clock based on project radius, and push clock-related reminders based on location.
Better review screens
We’ve also added new review screens for time tracking, providing faster, clearer, and highly customizable views for supervisors. These include summary views for reviewing time in bulk, grid views for reviewing time in the week for attendance and daily hour totals, and a new time entry view for viewing all relevant time data in detail on one screen. Screens for reviews, sign offs, and approvals have also been simplified.
While this change is just for our web platform, our mobile app is also simple and easy to use, offering you views of everything you need—including the ability to review and approve time clock data.
Improved scheduling capabilities

Scheduling employees for shifts is now easier than ever. When creating or updating shifts, you can now use the notification toggle to choose whether or not to send notifications to select employees. Plus, notifications have been updated to include shift titles and locations, for more clarity.
Keep an eye out for more coming soon—we're actively working on more continuous updates to this feature!
Production section for daily reports

We added a “production” section to daily reports so that you can track efficiency (including materials, cost codes, hours, quantities, efficiency, percentage complete, and projected hours). The whole purpose of dailies is to give you the “big picture” of what happened on the jobsite, and this just makes that even easier.
Integration support for equipment records
You can now conveniently import your equipment records from key Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms directly into Raken.
This eliminates the need for double entry and, paired with Raken’s new equipment management capabilities, enables you to keep better track of fleet location, performance, maintenance, and more.
Coming soon
We have even more updates in the pipeline, including an exciting new release for RFIs in Raken. Stay tuned for more coming soon!
